 Suzhou Huasu Plastics CO., Ltd. is founded in 1992 by the Chairman of Westlake Group of Companies (USA), Mr T.T.Chao. The major shareholder is Chao Group International, and the other shareholders are Norsk Hydro a.s (Norway), IFC(international Finance Corporatin), China Jiangsu Chemical Pesticide Group Company and China Taicang Petrochemical Company. The total investment in this Company now is up to US $89.3 million. Phase I of the project was completed in 1994, with a production of 24,000 MT/yr PVC film. The project is mainly used in inflatable toys/boats, semi-rigid film, transparent sheets, insulation film, stationery covers and other types of film for general application. Phase II project was fulfilled in Septmber 1999 with a manufacturing capacity of 100,000 MT/yr PVCresins. The company also has plans to venture into upstream as well as downstream activities. Suzhou Huasu Plastics Co., Ltd, is situated at Liujiagang, Taicang, on the south bank of Yangtze River. It is approximately 40minutes drive from Shanghai Hongqiao Airport. Overseas barges are able to dock at the jetty owned by Changjiang Petrochemicals Terminal, located 1.5km away from the company. Container vessels, on the other hand, can take harbour at COSCO Plaza, which is 4 km away from Huasu.Land and water transport infrastructures in this region are convenient and well constructed.Huasu PVC Calendering Film There are 4 calendering lines of IHI Japan and one Comerio calendering line of Italy in the Fabrication plant, which has been applied for producint various films for different end -use such as inflatable toy/boat, semi-rigid, transparent, insulation, stationary and general purpose. The products have been sold to both domestic and abroad such as America, Australia, Europe, Japan and Southeast Asia and won the reputation and in great demand. Now the Fabrication Plant has added more lines to meet the requirement of production.Huasu's Mission Statement To be the preferred supplier of our customers. It emphasizes on the principle of clean production, which optimises the use of resources, and minimises the effects of wastes(air, water and particulates) on the environment. Our production facility utilizes equipment imported from wordwide reputable suppliers in the States, Europe, Australia and Taiwan. The plant has engaged Japna's Yokogwa Distributed Control System for process control and optimization. The system Incegrates Westlake reactor technogy, to produce stable, good quality PVC resins. The PVC plant produces versible brands pvc resins according to be aser's requirement, suitable for injection moulding, extrusion and calendering. |
